1. Who we are

Sequence Industries ("snapcash", "we", "us") operates the website snapcash.africa and provides short-term credit to qualifying South African consumers. snapcash is a registered credit provider (NCRCP 21330) regulated by the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 ("NCA").

2. The product

We offer single-instalment short-term loans of R500 to R2 000 over terms of 5 to 30 days. Each loan is repaid in one payment, on the date you selected, collected through a single pre-authorised debit order you authorise. The full cost of credit is disclosed to you before you apply and is recorded in your credit agreement; it will not change after approval.

3. Eligibility and affordability

To apply you must be 18 or older, hold a valid South African ID, hold a South African bank account with internet banking, and have verifiable income for the preceding 3 months. Every application is subject to an affordability assessment and credit check as required by the NCA. We may decline any application where the assessment does not support the loan, and we may request additional information to complete an assessment.

4. Quotes and agreements

Calculator figures on this website are indicative quotes. A binding pre-agreement statement and quotation, as prescribed by the NCA, is provided before you accept any loan. The credit agreement comes into force only when we approve your application, you accept the agreement and authorise your debit order.

5. Fees and interest

We charge only: (a) a once-off initiation fee of R165 plus 10% of the principal above R1 000, capped at R1 050 (excl. VAT); (b) a service fee of R60 per month, pro-rated daily; and (c) interest at 0,17% per day. All charges are within the maximum rates prescribed for short-term credit transactions under the NCA. We charge no application fee and no early-settlement penalty.

6. Payout and repayment

Approved loans are disbursed promptly to the bank account you provide. Your single repayment is collected on the agreed date via a pre-authorised debit order, processed through our accredited collections partner. You may settle early at any time; interest is calculated only up to the settlement date.

7. Late or failed payment

If a collection fails, interest continues to accrue on the outstanding balance within the limits of the NCA (including the statutory in duplum protection). Missed payments may be reported to registered credit bureaus. Contact us as soon as you anticipate difficulty; we will always attempt to agree a reasonable arrangement before taking further steps permitted by the NCA.

8. Your information

We process personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). By applying you provide the consents recorded during the application flow.

9. Website use

Content on this website is provided in good faith for general information and does not constitute financial advice. You may not use this website unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or misrepresent your identity in an application. We may suspend the website for maintenance or security reasons.

10. Complaints and disputes

Complaints can be lodged in writing, and. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may approach the National Credit Regulator (0860 627 627, www.ncr.org.za) or the Credit Ombud. South African law governs these terms, and the jurisdiction of the South African courts applies.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its date, is the current one. Material changes affecting existing agreements will be communicated directly.
